Following on from the critically acclaimed R&B Latino, Aventuras is the fourth solo album from one of the leading lights of the UK jazz scene, virtuoso pianist Alex Wilson. This latest recording project takes the listener on a series of adventures around the Americas and the Caribbean, fusing improvised jazz with the folkloric musings of Colombia, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and, of course, Cuba – all driven by Alex’s incendiary piano playing.
